Top 6? Is this for a team you're making? I mean, any pokemon has uses. Depends what you base around. If you just pick the best 6 you are not going to have a well rounded team. What pokemon are you thinking about?

Mega charzard X is better Than mega altaria.
Um, no.

Whilst, yes, Altaria does have a hard time getting in due to a 2x weakness, Charizard will lose half its health if you either don't play your cards right and lose your hazard clearer early game, or misplay and bring it in. Also, Charizard X is weak to rocks in its mega form whereas Altaria is not.

Mega Altaria also has the benefit of Pixilate Hyper Voice, which hits a number of S and A rank threats, 2HKO'ing the majority of them like Landorus and Keldeo. Mega Altaria can also viably run many more sets than Charizard, including Physical, Special, Cotton Guard, etc.

Not to mention that Fairy-typing is currently one of the best in the game due to the lack of weaknesses, which can mostly be patched up with Altaria's pretty incredible movepool.

'Nuff said? I think so.

I dont worry about rocks because i have an excellent rapid spinner on my team. Abd If charzard gets a dragon dance he can sweep threw everything.

Your spinner can be as good as you want it to be, it doesn't stop it from being knocked out at any point either due to you misplaying, being roared out, or numerous other secondary factors.

Even if Charizard-X does set up a DD, it's going to take a lot of damage in the process and then be hard walled by many common threats like Balloon Heatran, Unaware Clefable, etc - extremely common team staples.

I can also say that Altaria can sweep a lot if it sets up Dragon Dance, and it has a much easier time due to the fact that it is much more bulky than MegaZard, so it can actually take hits while setting up. If you get paralyzed/burned/put to sleep, Altaria has the capability of using Heal Bell, a privilege that Charizard doesn't get (I'm focusing on the paralysis here)

In no way is MegaZard-X a bad Pokemon, but it does have a number of flaws that stop it from fully achieving its purpose.

I think Mega Altaria is a great pokemon, but I dont thinks that it surpasses Charzard X still. While Mega charzard is walled by some pokemon. ONly Heatran with the ability flash fire walls him. And a flare Blitz on clefable ignoring the stat changes is still a 1 to 2 hit KO. Also some charzards run EQ. I Personally dont but I dont think many ppl wouldnt risk sending heatran in anyways. And what pokemon is balloon? So Altaria is walled my more pokemon than Charzard X.

Wow, so you've considered 2 Pokemon and have come to the conclusion that Altaria is worse than Charizard...

Firstly, Balloon = Air Balloon to avoid Earthquake - it's pretty common on Heatran. Also, the only Heatran you would EVER run would be Flash Fire - if you don't, you're using it wrong. 'Ignoring the stat changes' seeing as Clefable's best set is Unaware, which ignores the DD stat boosts, allowing to wall very effectively, and deal a good amount of damage with Moonblast.

Those r very amazing points and I have come to the conclusion that it depends on ur team for which is better. If u want to prove urself right and count how many pokemon they each get walled by. Go right ahead but im leaving my conclusion as it states above.

Whilst, yes, it does depend on the team, Altaria's team support due to its bulk, supportive movepool and not so crippling weakness to rocks do lead to the fact that it is more suited on a greater number of teams.

Any way, I could discuss this all day, so for now I will take my leave *tips hat*.

My Top 6 Pokemon (especially on our site) would come down to these, imo:

1. Mega Mawile
2. Greninja
3. Mega Altaria
4. Aegislash
5. Latias
6. Mega Lopunny

1. Mega Mawile may not have much speed, but it is capable of outspeeding a good percentage of walls in the tier and getting behind a Substitute (forcing the opponent to make a very tough decision). Being behind this Substitute guarantees that Mawile will be able to get up a swords dance (at plus 2 2HKO's Ferrothorn with SP). Even some of the bulkiest Pokemon in the game have issues with taking that guaranteed +2. (It's best Pokemon to go against would most likely be Ferrothorn as Gyro Ball only has a slight chance of breaking the Substitue).

2. Hello? It's Greninja. Protean. Move. Destruction. Life Orb.

3. Mega Altaria is good for all of the reasons listed by @Matt_192 . This Pokemon has various sets, all of which are viableon most teams. Its Fairy/Dragon typing after Mega Evolving is excellent (only having 4 weaknesses, 7 resistances and 1 immunity). Not to mention the divers move pool that this Pokemon is given gives it excellent coverage as a Mixed attacker; getting moves like Flamethrower, Dracon Dance, Return to use alongside Pixilate for STAB. The possibilities with this Pokemon are endless.

4. Good typing, great mixed stats, excellent weakness policy user, very tricky Pokemon.

5. I know that this may come as a surprise, but I'm looking at this from a supportive standpoint. Latias is capable of Defogging hazards, dealing heavy damage with a life Orb boosted Draco Meteor/Psyshock , and can work wonders late-game with Healing Wish. That being said, I do think that late-game healing wish is a huge contributor as to why this Pokemon is on my list, seeing as I've seen it spawn tremendous comebacks for and against me.

6. Mega Lopunny is one of those Pokemon that's just really hard to play against. It's fast and not many things are too eager to face off against it (except TalonGod of course). Mega Lopunny has one of those things that few Pokemon get: a guaranteed Mega Evolution with near 0 repercussions (-things like Rocky Helmet, Rough Skin, Iron Barbs, and Joboca berry. Also Inner Focus Pokemon or other Pokemon with similar abilities.) Being that with the Ability Scrappy, Fake Out is guaranteed to hit every Pokemon of every type, ensuring that Lopunny has easy access to its tremendous 135 speed. This easily outspeeds most of the ORAS meta (including Greninja, Mega Manectric, and other Pokemon commonly used). Not only that, upon Mega Evolving, Lopunng also gains access to a 136 physical Attack Atat. Lopunny can also switch in on a Pokemon who has just used a status move and lock that Pokemon into that move with Encore and if that's paired up with Power Up Punch, it's a deadly combo.

I hope this list helped you out somewhat with what to expect in future battles on our site :)

I agree with pretty much everything u said except for mega lopunny. I used mega lopunny on my first Competitive OU team ever and I was very very dissapointed with its performance. Mega lopunny can not KO anything that it does have a super effective hit on it but it usually puts them in to the high red area if not super effective and that would be Pretty good if it could take hits which it can't. When I used it was KO'd by almost every single thing. It can be used pretty well if most of the enemy teams Pokemon on the enemy team r weakened but Pokemon like gengar, scarfed heatran, scizor, Talon Flame, scarfed Terrakion, Volcarona, landourous, serpirior, Alakazam, And Keldeo can do what lopunny can do except some a little better so mega lopunny is a good Pokemon but doesn't make it all the way up to levels as other Megas.

XD

Almost every Pokemon you listed there does a completely different job to what Lopunny does, and you seem to have ignored two of the prime reasons for using Lopunny - let's get started.

I'll start off with your statement: "Mega Lopunny cannot KO anything that it super-effects." As I person who uses mLop quite frequently, this statement is completely false. Many of the current OU threats, some of which you even listed are actually OHKO'ed by HJK/Return, especially after setting up with P-up-P like @Gold 2.0 stated.

You then seemed to have listed a bunch of special threats and said they do what Lopunny does but better... What XD. This brings me on to one of the main reasons to even use Mega Lopunny in the first place - its great speed tier. As most run Jolly to creep base 130s, Lopunny hits many of the common threats in the 100-130 speed tier bracket, let's just list a few out: Gengar, Latias, Latios, Band Terrakion, Tornadus-T, Garchomp, Keldeo, Landorus, etc. Whilst it doesn't have the greatest speed stat prior to going mega, Fake Out is such a useful option to effectively get a free turn. Also, you seem to think Lopunny is a wallbreaker, but this isn't really true. If you want a wallbreaking fighting mega, I's redirect you to Mega Gallade and Mega Medicham, fine B-rank examples that can hit most of the walls in the tier with their strong coverage and high stats even before boosting. Mega Lopunny simply cannot perform that role due to quite a specific moveset it requires, although very effective on most teams. I wouldn't say Mega Lopunny is the most splashable Pokemon in OU, far from it, but it does give a lot of teams a fast offensive threat to deal with the speed bracket that I mentioned previously.

Looking at your list you gave, only Scarf Terrakion (which, currently, isn't exactly the greatest option due to the increase in Pokemon like Clefable, Aegislash and Mega Mawile which resist all of its STABs, or, in the case of Clefable, can just take hits for days from Terrakion) and Talonflame. Talonflame is a very big threat in the OU metagame, but there are COUNTLESS checks to it. The two most splashable Pokemon, at least, in my mind (Heatran and Rotom-W, the former maybe not too much) as well as the biggest entry hazard completely shutting Talonflame down means that Lopunny can be helped with minimal team support.

I used mega lopunny And it does not KO most things. That statement is false.
Trust me, I run it on a lot of my teams and with PuP setup, this thing deals damage (I really have to ask this question - even if Mega Lopunny doesn't its attack boosted, how the hell were you not hitting stuff hard? That was either some weird ass set or you aren't running him right). Also, you've missed another point. Mega Lopunny's speed means it's perfect as a late game cleaner. With Scrappy, excess of 130 base attack and over 400 speed, Mega Lopunny can easily shred teams at the end of the game. My argument thus far has been focused on mLop's setup, but its role as a late game cleaner is far more compelling. Pokemon like Heatran, which I'm assuming you mean it 'can't ohko' is obviously not going to - Heatran is bulky as hell and is perfect in that role. However, Mega Lopunny can very easily pick off offensive threats and isn't threatened too heavily by Sucker Punch.

I was running the set High Jump Kick, Fake Out, power up punch, Drain Punch/ Return and yes lopunny hit stuff hard but not a KO which meant lopunny was KO'd imediatly so that's my point.
