Sup people, looking for general advices considering the topic any ideas? I got a few pokes in mind, but still looking for general or specific advices so i can take them in consideration

For a friendly tournament matter, rules are:
- Any electric type or dual type ( with electric on it )
-You can have one different poke as a Wild Card ( I picked Mew - cause all moves can be learned )
- The Team can change, can select any of the other electric pokes vs other trainers ( To make it more fun ).

Other than that, all standard rules, Item clause, no ubers, etc, etc.

Have in mind so far, just the pokes:
Ampharos -manectric ( Mega ) depending of course vs who im battling,
Zapdos,
Rotom ( may vary which one depending vs who )
Electivire
Eelektross

Like i said, they are just the pokes, not the team. So looking for general advices, etc.

I would suggest you choosing magneton(not magnezone) cause along with scarf it can outrun most pokemon and make the first move or act as a sweeper in certain cases

(Item Clause isn't standard)

Thundurus-Therian, Magneton, Mega Manectric, Zapdos, Rotom-W/H, Raikou/Lanturn/Stunfisk

The issue with mono-electric is that all of the physical attackers are basically crap: Electivire, Eelektross and Zebstrika. You could run one of these over the last slot probably.

Thundurus-Therian gives you a nice lead matchup against LeadChomp, especially if you are scarf, and also has a wide movepool to get some early damage off, or do a late game clean.

Magneton for the reasons @GiaQuando gave, but you could consider running Eviolite for added bulk on the team

Mega Manectric > Mega Ampharos just due to the fact that this team is going to be bulky enough already, and you need speed/fire coverage. You could run Rotom-H over Rotom-W to compensate, but then you lose water coverage (Lanturn doesn't really count)

Zapdos gives you defog (especially important if you're using Rotom-H) but can also use other gimmicks like Tailwind, or good coverage moves like Heat Wave/HP Ice

Rotom-W in particular gives you Hydro Pump and better defensive typing than Rotom-H, but they are both there for Will-o-Wisp so take your pick

Raikou is good for volt turning, Lanturn is good for bulk, and Stunfisk is a really surprising Pokemon. I recently made a post about it on Smogon so here ya go:
I believe someone brought up Stunfisk but had their post deleted, so here goes

Stunfisk Unranked to C

Stunfisk acts as a massive check to VoltTurn in this meta. With these Pokemon on the rise (e.g. Raikou being considered a move to A rank, the huge use of VoltTurn teams in general, Scarf Landorus-T, etc), having the immunity to Volt Switch gives the opponent less momentum and either gives you free Stealth Rocks or being able to get damage/paralysis with Discharge off. Discharge with its 30% paralysis chance also acts as a great supportive move for medium speed setup threats like Gyarados, as it can capitalise with said paralysis with the common SubDD set. Here are some calcs to show off its bulk:

252 SpA Raikou Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Stunfisk: 122-144 (28.9 - 34.1%) -- 99% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Life Orb Weavile Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Stunfisk: 276-328 (65.4 - 77.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Talonflame Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Stunfisk: 115-136 (27.2 - 32.2%) -- 55.8% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Sharp Beak Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Stunfisk: 69-81 (16.3 - 19.1%) -- possible 8HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Mega Manectric Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Stunfisk: 136-162 (32.2 - 38.3%) -- 2.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Stunfisk: 164-192 (38.8 - 45.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery (not guaranteed due to damage drop)

Stunfisk is a Pokemon that's spread is usually dependant on the team. I personally use 108 Special Attack Modest Stunfisk to guarantee the Earth Power OHKO on standard Bisharp, but alternate spreads like 108 (not Modest) guarantee the OHKO on Offensive DD Gyarados with Discharge. Although I have primarily been using physically defensive in the calcs, specially defensive works just as well to combat popular threats like Heatran, currently one of the most splashable Pokemon in the tier.

Now as to why I think Stunfisk is C Rank... Whilst it does have good supportive tools and solid bulk to boot, it only has recovery in the form of Leftovers - a similar situation to Empoleon which is currently considering the drop to B-. Ground isn't the greatest defensive typing, forcing you to run specific spreads which require a lot of investment if you want to live certain super effective hits (see: Gyarados). Nevertheless, the immunity to Thunder Wave and its ability to work wonders against VoltTurn team make it a decent Pokemon from a supportive and defensive role.

I'm currently in the process of getting replays for Stunfisk - I will edit the post tomorrow with them, but I just wanted to start debate.

So yeah, pick what you want here, but you'll probably want a physical attacker in that last slot anyway. :)

Woow, really good analysis you made on stunfisk, and yea i will really consider all of the options, im gonna start breeding a Rotom H, the thing is, for Thundurus Therian, which moveset you recommend? i have one, but is a regular special attacker.

Im was considering like a Mix Eelektross or something like that, but not sure, what you recommend is the best option of the 3 you mentioned?

Please don't double post :)

As for Thundurus-Therian, I'd probably recommend a moveset of Thunderbolt / Volt Switch / Dark Pulse / Sludge Wave, but there are plenty of other options including Knock Off and HP Ice.

Out of the three physical attackers, IMO go with Electivire:

Electivire @ Life Orb
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wild Charge
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Hidden Power Grass

Having moves to counter ground types is a must. Granted Zapdos' typing and Rotom's levitate help massively but due to ground/rock types having similar-ish movepools making rock type attacks common amongst ground types. Zapdos might struggle. Rotom-W might alleviate more pressure than Rotom-F, Running HP Grass on an SP.Attacker like Zapdos might also help. Due to how common Earthquake is Magnet Rise is a cute gimmick that if pulled off right on a speedier elec-type, might leave your opponent with a frown and a curse underbreath.
