So I haven't seen this posted yet. Tonight, I only needed 1 more UB to complete my dex, and some one through GTS had the Pokemon that I needed, and wanted a Pokemon that I had. So I went to trade it, and barely after selecting it, a black screen popped up, saying that the connection was terminated, and to turn off power to the device.

I couldn't do anything else. When I finally got back to the Plaza, I went to try GTS again, and I get this lovely message. (On the bottom screen when you hit "Trade")

"You can't have a Link Trade or Trade at the GTS, because your previous Link Trade or trade at the GTS was interrupted due to a communication error or Power Interruption.

Please wait a while, and then try again to trade."


Upon some research, there were a few more cases like mine, apparently this is a Soft Ban implemented to decrease cloning. It lasts between 24-72 hours, however, one person stated they have been banned for a week (though they had multiple infractions on their part).

Anyways, just a fair warning to everyone. It's not just affecting the people who clone, but those who have weak internet connections.
