So I was thinking some members work hard on this site, referring people helping out, contributing ideas, etc

A lot of community members stand out and I think some sort of recognition and reward would not only encourage more members to actively contribute towards the community but, it will also encourage the members already actively participating to keep on doing good

I was thinking perhaps like an Employee of the Month program we employ a MOTM or Member of the Month program and based on contributions site wise, referrals, activity, etc we either have staff or a poll declaring a member of that month

This member would receive some kind of prize maybe PC or a banner or something, just brainstorming but i think it'd be a cool system to introduce

Honestly this would probably just end up being you, picking your friends. It's a nice idea but everyone's going to be to busy doing other stuff to care. It's not like we're organized under an administrative staff or anything and can just be like "Hey, this little dude right here is doing pretty cool" and if we where that would still be pretty arrogant.

It sounds cool but it would be a lot of work for all mods and admins because this could never be something we could automate - there would be too many chances for people to lie about referrals or contributions unless we processed it all ourselves.

If we were to go through with it I think we'd need a better way of defining a MOTM.

It isn't chosen by one person so they wouldn't pick their friends what o_O

What are you talking about i'm confused, it would either be a poll for everyone to vote or the mods and admins deciding unanimously/majority

We could ignore referrals due to the ability to lie about them and just do overall site contributions/progress

Fair 'nuff. Do you have any specific instances of site contributions/progress? All I can really think of are the occasional recruitment drives. Maybe twitch streaming? But a lot of people don't have the gear.

Organizing recruitment runs, producing ideas for the site, hosting events/tournaments/giveaways, helping people in the sb/on forums, etc

Yeah I'm liking this idea, it gives members that thanks for their continued support towards the site. I'd like to see more members contribute towards the site, not saying that there isn't a lot of help already, but this could actively get newer members involved too. I'd probably say a simple banner seems good, nothing too complex, as a reward, however, if we were to do PC, how much would you suggest?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, so either that or a small banner would work IMO.

When banner you mean the ribbons under your name in the forums correct? if so i think it should be like that. They get the initial prize of about 200pc and get a ribbon that looks like this for example:
