Passersby and Mirage Spots

Hi all,

I'm trying to find all the Mirage Spots in Alpha Sapphire, but it seems that every day I always have the same one available.

I've read that mirage spots are shared through Streetpass and with passersby.

Has anyone else experienced only finding one mirage spot?

And does anyone know exactly what makes someone become a passerby and thus share their mirage spot?

mine appear to change most days if not every day, i know some of the places that appear while soaring can be related to the pokemon in your party. i.e having a castform or a lvl 100 pokemon bring certain legendaries up. but as for the same mirage island or or cave etc appearing everyday ive never seen that on either my AS or OR game.

I've found a few of the ones that require specific criteria but I've never found a different daily.

As for Streetpass, I live in a fairly middle of nowhere place, which is why I'm trying to figure out the passerby part of it; that said, it can't hurt to take it out when I go places.

lol we have same condition, its really hard to find mirage spots
but you can keep trying untill you meet one
just go online everyday day and use eon flute to check a new mirage spots

Ah, I've just realised something (which might have been what you were getting at), are the people you Streetpass the people who appear as passersby, or are the 2 seperate things (which is what I was previously assumimg)?

Edit: In fact no, they most be seperate, as I get passersby from all over the world.

when you connect to wifi ull get a bunch of people and theyll all be under passerby. streetpassed people also go under passerby. if u street pass a friend they will stay under friends. same with acquaintances but they both will still count as a passerby

Every time I want to gain access to my new mirage spots for the day I have to click on the news tab and then click the mailbox icon. Think you must be connected to the internet to do this too.

I generally have about 6 or so new mirage spots a day doing this.

You can receive different mirage spots through spotpass. and some other stuff too such as news and secret bases
