I prefer Talonflame, since it seems to be easier to get (happened to have one lying around when I started), but Magma works just as well.

Both of the abilities of slugma work and I think they are flame body and Magma armour
Yup it should work. My eggs hatch pretty fast now with my camerupt! ^^

Hatched dratini, treecko, gible aron and skarmory so far
the only shame is that magma armor and flame bodydont stack together haha

yap, because i get way more eggs than that they hatch. havent found the best way to use my time effectively yet. If you guys have any tips let me know. I already use max hatching power and flame body
Personally, I like to pick up five eggs from the day care kid, bike until an egg hatches, and then drop it in a box and grab another egg (for me, the new egg shows up every lap or so). But this is at the ORAS Battle Resort. If your setup is less convenient, you can store some boxes of eggs and then hatch them en masse.
