While I literally got NO IDEA what it could really be my guess is that it will have to do with mega stones(lol thanks captain obvious,actually it's Captain Gia but never mind talking to myself :p )I am sure it will be something entirely new that could probably the long awaited hype xD

Normally I'd say maybe it's just an aesthetic change, but the weird Greninja thing in the anime makes me think maybe it is some kind of new form of mega evolution - perhaps not exactly the same, but like how Groudon and Kyogre use Primal Reversion.

I think it's spirit stone a stone that connects Pokemon and their trainer to a new height called spirit evolution or burst evolution
