Closed Questions regarding Dittos !

Hello there,

I am wondering why a lot of people is buying/selling Dittos ^^
Is this only to breed ?
Moreover, what is the purpose on having different abilities (hidden for example) and different natures ? Does it directly affect the chance of getting the same while breeding ?

I'll also say that i like using a scarfed Imposter ditto, you know, that's always cool.
