Permanently Closed (Previous Season) Elite Four Guidelines

How It Works:
- The Elite Four has a thread in this forum with a list of its Elite Four members. Challenge the Elite Four by replying to the thread ( any available Elite Four may accept your challenge)
- You must obtain a minimum of 8 gym badges to challenge the Elite Four
- After a defeat or victory, the Elite Four will post their challengers/winners to the thread
- The Elite Four will challenge you using a Monotype team of which you do not possess a gym badge
- Victors are awarded the challenger badge after defeating their first member of the Elite Four ( additionally victors will also be awarded the gym badge corresponding to the Monotype team used by the Elite Four)
- You must defeat 4 separate Elite Four to qualify for the champion badge ( repeat battles against an Elite Four you have already defeated will not be counted or earn you a badge)
- If defeated by an Elite Four, you must wait at least 3 days to challenge the Elite Four again
- Some Pokemon are not allowed in the PokéGym Challenge, please adhere to our community banlist: here

While You Are Elite Four:
- If challenges exist, then the Elite Four has to accept at least 1 challenge every 3 days
- Inactive Elite Four will forfeit his/her position and cannot be reinstated as an Elite Four for a minimum waiting period of 7 days, during this waiting period the position may be filled by another aspiring Elite Four member ( unless the Elite Four member explicitly states that he/she will be unavailable for a certain period of time)
- Elite Four can simultaneously be Gym leaders
- Elite Four cannot become champion
- Elite Four MUST post their challengers/winners after each battle
- Elite Four will be awarded the title of "Elite Four" and the privileges to award badges ( Elite Four are only permitted to award the challenger badge to first time challengers and the gym badge corresponding to their Monotype team after they have been defeated following a formal challenge)

Rules:
- Elite Four must follow the appropriate Monotype clause ( 6 Pokémon with the same type. Dual typing is allowed, but they must all share a common type with the exception of a terastallized Pokemon)
- Elite Four are allowed the use of one Pokemon that does not normally share a common type, but does share a common tera type ( this Pokemon must be immediately terastallized once on the battle field and cannot be switched out before terastallizing)
- Badges will not be awarded without formal challenges. Formal challenges can only be issued in the Elite Four thread (not home page shoutbox).
- Both Elite Four and challengers must adhere to the following:
Sleep Clause (you may not put two of your opponent's Pokémon to sleep)
Dupe Clause (no more than 1 of the same Pokemon per team)
Evasion Clause (may not use a move which has the sole effect of raising Evasion, namely Double Team and Minimize)
- Battles can take place on showdown only if BOTH PARTIES agree to it.
- Elite Four cannot use showdown as their ONLY means of battling. Meaning you must have a wifi team ready in case a challenger doesn't use showdown
- Battle format and Monotype is chosen and declared by the Elite Four at the time of accepting a challenge ( singles, doubles, 6v6)
