Time: 5pm EST

Non-team members are welcomed to join aswell!
(This is a WiFi tournament. You will need a Nintendo 3ds and a copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire to participate. Battles happen by exchanging friend codes and starting the battle, then reporting the winner to the tournament coordinator (@tournament) who will be online at the time of the tournament.)

The tournament winner will earn and permanent use of profile cover images for themselves.

~ Rules ~
Your team can only contain Pokemon and Items from the OU Tier and below. Your team must also abide by the following clauses:
Baton Pass Clause (limit 1 user)
Chicken Clause (Speed Boost Blaziken is banned)
Endless Battle Clause (Any move that intentionally causes an Endless Battle is banned)​

Evasion Clause (You may not use any moves that solely boost the evasion stat)

Moody Clause (Any Pokemon on your team cannot have the ability Moody)
OHKO Clause (Any Pokemon on your team cannot have any One-Hit KO Moves)
Sleep Clause (You may only set one of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep at a time. If you have a Pokemon asleep and you use a self-inflicting move like Rest, this will not disqualify your opponent)
Species Clause (You may not have have more than one of the same Pokemon on your team)

Before you begin your battle with your opponent,
Click the Challenge Button on your opponent's profile and select the OU Tier.
Your opponent will accept. After the battle in alerts, click who has won.
The Winner's Ladder rating will go up.

Of course later on once Sun and Moon hit store shelves, right now we've been in the ORAS generation for so long that all the tiers are all slowed down (for wi-fi battles not showdown), and out of all of them OU is the most active right now and the most popular/common for having an in game team for Wi-Fi Battles which maximizes entry rates during this drought. It wouldn't be as fun using one of the other tiers right now in between games because of the low amount of people who would sign up and others who wouldn't be able to sign up.

But admittedly it will take months to get around to sorting out the tiers in Sun and Moon. OU is usually sorted first for obvious reasons but it then takes ages to actually get the other tiers up to scratch.

True about the tiers, ill bring it up. I think we can get some of the other tiers out in a tourney in the next couple of months. I shortened the time in my head between sun/moon's release we got 5/6 tourneys until then but yeah some other tiers added to the tourney train would make it interesting. Like a multi battle, or possibly doubles or one of the others like UU.
