Pokémon Bank Postponed 12/26/13

Release of Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter postponed due to a large volume of traffic to the Nintendo Network service

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International have postponed the launch of Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter - two software applications that were originally scheduled to launch for Nintendo 3DS on Dec. 27 - due to a large volume of traffic to the Nintendo Network service. Due to the high traffic, players are having trouble setting up Nintendo Network IDs and downloading content in the Nintendo eShop on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. We truly regret the inconvenience, and wish to reassure everyone that providing a solution is our top priority. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your continued patience.

The people who already have pokebank in Japan are still able to use it.

Still. They need to keep the releases similar to XY, where it's released at the same time.

The way I see it is Japan is the testing grounds. If the system breaks or falls apart, they can stop to fix it and once it is released to the rest of the world there's no turning back.

If they tell us a new release date/give us more information about what's going on, it will be on their website if you didn't already know about that site. I've been checking constantly each night just in case something gets updated.
