Spice up Pokemon Stadium

Me and my friends would play it all the time so we eventually got bored with it so we had to come up with "new rules" to keep it exciting. we would sometimes pick each others teams and deal with the inevitable pile of crap(metapods and magikarps everywhere!) we were given or we would pick our own teams but blindfolded so we could either get really good stuff or real garbage. picking teams of pokemon that weren't part of any evolution chain was fun too.
anybody else out there do anything like this?

well I still have the adapter and both pokemon stadiums, I tried it again last year. It was laughable after all these years
