Do Ditto's stats even matter?

So I've wondered for a while now - if a Ditto has the imposter ability, is there any point worrying about it's stats and IV's?

I kind of want to say no, but it'd be good to get some clarification

It matters when it comes to breeding, when it comes to battling it probably does as I don't believe that the stats are copied as part of Imposter

Imposter copies all stats except for HP. It copies stat changes as well.

If your wondering because you see a lot of people looking for/selling "6IV Dittos", it's almost always for breeding purposes. Ditto is seldom used in competitive play.

Yes stats matter in breeding thought if u go for battles it is useless hmm but imposter one can be useful
