I've got a shiny mewtwo with max IVs which was genned I think and I also caught a regular 1 in alpha sapphire. If I caught my mewtwo in alpha sapphire does that means it's KB?

Yeah,KB means it has the blue Pentagon and ORAS Pokemon have it too so it's basically the same thing
