Here is where I well post the bred Pokemon I have and the results of my research.
February 21st 2018.
I decided that it be appropriate considering my first entry to go back and explain how I got started into breeding and training Pokemon for pristine condition, or as close for my battling style as I could. About a year ago I decided that I would like to go and battle in the competitive leaves and Arenas of the Pokemon video game series, regardless of my lack of capabilities or resources. If there was one thing that I do not like at the moment it was in bishan not nothing would stop me from attempting to achieve that.
to compete against those that were already playing at Regional and National levels I would need to go and learn about breeding, effort values, individual values, Nature's, abilities, and movesets as well as various other variables used in battle such as affection stat and growth rates. So I decided to train my favorite Pokemon in such manners to increase the capabilities and performance of set Pokemon.
I previously tried to breed but to my failure I was not that good at it that, that was right before Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire it came out and I decided that this time I would become more serious and do research as much as I could into the fields to go and gave myself the most advantage and opportunity to go and win. So I begin breeding starting with my favorite, my favorite being Volcarona the fire moth. When I started training my Volcarona I'd already trained it to have 6 perfect stats and have a great setup for being able to survive most circumstances. This did not mean that it was at the most pristine that I could have had it and I decided to go and make it stronger than I have it.
The bill that I have prior for my Volcarona, after I had already trained it to level 100 was six perfect stats, the nature modest, and the ability flame body. Its base HP was at 329, with a special attack of 376, and a speed of 260. This Pokemon cut it easily out Speed Most opponents and had a special attack able to one shot Pokemon even advantageous against him. I've given him the moves bug Buzz, fiery dance, hurricane, and Heatwave. Later replacing fiery dance and hurricane with Giga drain and quiver dance, this seemed to be an optimal increase of ability against what I already had.
Regardless with my pleasure of the pleasure at the achievement that the Vault around that ad I knew that it was not enough to go and make it for higher competitive battling, and that I would need to go and make changes to either my strategy or my team. I decided to remake the Volcarona that I was so proud of, I'm not currently finished leveling it up but I know that it will go and make me proud. As a tribute to the Volcarona that I had before I decided to keep the nickname that I have given it.
I gave it the flame body ability as I had before, as well as the modest nature. But I decided that it would go and need an adjustment to how I raise the stats, I continue to focus on special attack and speed, but gave a boost to special defense I had before. I'm giving it the moves quiver dance, bug Buzz, absorb, and Heatwave. While providing it a big route to increase the effectiveness of the absorb. The results being far superior than I expected, and at 26 levels below the prior Volcarona.
I then decided to work on the next members of my team. Some probationary, others permanent. The next Pokemon to breed was another one of my favorites, Ampharos the Electric Pokemon, I gave it a timid nature in the ability static, I currently need to remake the Ampharos due to being sporadic with the effort values. The attacks are great for this setup, and the stats are not bad, but they could be better. With an HP of 341, a special attack of 291, a defense of 227, and a special defense of 241, an attack of 177, and a speed of 188, it was an all-around good filled. With a moveset of dragon pulse, Thunderbolt, protect, and focus blast. I have the ideal build for an Ampharos outside of a minor adjustment to the effort values.
The next Pokemon my list was a Swampert, it is my first Pokemon from when I played Sapphire version, I need to rebuild this one as well due to poor judgement in some effort value choices, but all around the stats are fine. With a sassy nature to boost the speed and decrease the special defense I decided to go and increase most of his stats slightly, giving him and all around good build with a nice rounded structure. I should focus slightly more on the defense and special defense qualities of the Swampert due to being a great defensive wall, with a moveset such as ice punch, earthquake, scold, and waterfall, this is a very fair well rounded structure against Grass types fire types and a great wall against most pokemon in general, with 347 HP and 303 attack, and a defensive wall of 250 special defense and 241 defense, a special attack of 206 with a speed of 173. If his Mega Evolution does not go and stop most opposing Pokemon his standard defense will and if that doesn't work and all else fails a 303 attack stat with an ice punch or earthquake will stop Most Pokemon with one to two hits. I currently am using the ability torrent to increase water moves, but I'm considering switching that for the hidden ability if I can find a Mudkip with its hidden ability unlocked.
The next Pokemon that I trained was a Flygon it as well being at level 100 at the moment means that I would have to completely restart from scratch, the stats on this Pokemon are superb. With slight effort values in each area is able to increase all stats above 220, HP being the highest at 330, and defense being the lowest at 221. With a moveset such as Hyper Beam, superpower, dragon breath, and earth power and the ability levitate. This Flygon has an incredible structure and is able to easily out speed and out attack most opponents. With a call nature boosting the flag on the attack and decreasing the special defense slightly, this Flygon should have absolutely no issue taking out anything. After remaking however I decided to switch the nature to one that would increase the physical attack and decrease the physical defense, due to most of its enemies being that of ice, fairy, grass, and dragon, it might be more reasonable to focus on a physical defense decrease than the special defense decrease.
The next Pokemon is Meganium. For as good as stats as it has, it is surprisingly weak compared to the other Pokemon. The lowest stat being physical attack of 206 and the highest being HP at 337, it takes it very easily. I had not trained Meganium with the intent to keep it on the team at the time, and so only gave it grass moves like magical Leaf, solarbeam, petal dance, and petal blizzard, and the ability overgrow. When I remake this Pokemon I will be going into using the leaf guard ability.
