If we're including Gale of Darkness, Eevee was pretty sweet.

If we're including neither of those... Chikorita was my first and still is my favorite of all time, even though Meganium is truly a subpar pokemon.

squirtle all the way. my first was treeko. and don't get me wrong sceptile rocks but i just don't think you can go wrong with a good squirtle

I like a ton of the starter Pokemon. But when it really comes down to it, my top favorites are Charmander, Turtwig, Treecko, Oshawott, Cyndaquil, and Froakie. Mainly because of their final forms, though.
