Guide to Hackmons

Hey guys, Cordell here for another Pokemon guide. Today we are going to learn all about hackmons and how to make a great hackmons team.

In Balanced Hackmons, you're allowed to use any move and ability on
any Pokémon, even if they don't ordinarily have said move or ability.
In addition, each Pokémon may have 252 EVs in every stat, which makes
the metagame a lot more bulky.- Smogon

Here are just a few of the best Hackmons Pokemon.

Deoxys-S @ Lum Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Spore
- Magic Coat
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes / Taunt

Deoxys Speed is commonly used as a lead in most hackmons team due to having one of the HIGHEST base speed stats in the game. First Spore is used to put your foe to sleep. Then, he sets up traps. Taunt and Magic Coat help the speed demon deal with mirror matchups in the lead position and prevent enemy hazards and Spores. A Lum Berry helps out Deoxys in case Spore is reflected with Magic Coat.

Jolteon @ Air Balloon
Trait: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt

Giving an Electric Pokemon Wonder Guard and an Air Balloon can pretty much stop anything. Taunt is used to stop the foe from pulling off any poisonings and such. Substitute is used after taunt, to ensure that nothing happens to your Pokemon. Leech seed is used to heal damage from substitute, while harming the enemy at the same time. Use Thunderbolt for STAB attack.

Sableye @ Roseli Berry
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
- Confuse Ray
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Sludge Bomb

This little beauty is one of my personal favorites. Substitute protects against status conditions. Confuse Ray and Toxic can make an enemy so frustrated, that often times they give up. Sludge Bomb is for those annoying Fairy types.

Blissey@Leftovers
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd

In a nutshell, Blissey will gain all of your opponent's strengths in addition to its colossal base 255 HP stat. Because of this, Blissey is easily the most dangerous Pokémon in Hackmons. Blissey is the kind of Pokémon that can turn a 1-6 into a win if it gets in on a setup move user and wins the Speed tie.

Latios @ Soul Dew
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psycho Boost
- Secret Sword
- Overheat

So here's the deal with this moveset. The item pretty much explains itself, If the holder is Latios(or Latias) the user's Special Attack is 1.5x. The ability Contrary works with all of it's already powerful moves by reversing their effects. Instead of the user's Special Attack being lowered, it's raised instead, to make the move more powerful next time.

The only hackmon I would want is a Kabutops with Speed Boost.
