When I am making a poke I just edit their IVs and I get the legit events too now if u don't consider these "legit" and wanna find/obtain legit pokes then sorry m8 u're kinda in the wrong site since we all Gen :I do not mean to be rude or anything but just clarifying the difference between legit and legal.
The 'mons you deliver are completely legal, but not legit.
Legality and Legitimacy
> Also, editing a legit pokemon would result it in being legal but not legit anymore, hope this makes the difference between legit and legal.
- Legitimate:
- Pokémon was obtained from its original and intended event distribution or in-game location;
- In 5th gen, this would result in a legal Pokecheck result.
- Legal:
- If the Pokémon can theoretically exist without hacking the game, it is considered legal;
- All legitimate Pokémon are legal, but not all legal Pokémon are legitimate, for example, if I PokeGen myself a shiny 6 IV Golbat with its normal moves, it can theoretically exist, and is thus legal. However, if I PokeGen myself a shiny 6 IV Golbat with Leaf Blade (which Golbat cannot learn), it is illegal.
- Hacked:
- This includes any sort of external alteration and manipulation of in-game data;
- Hacked Pokémon can be legal, but are never legitimate;
- Common sources of hacked Pokemon include, but are not restricted to: PokeGen, Pokecheck, Action Replay, PowerSaves.
- Note: Shinies that have been shinified are considered hacked!
- Cloned:
- Cloned Pokémon are exactly as their name suggests, they are absolutely identical in every way.
- It is currently impossible to tell cloned Pokémon apart from each other.
- The legality and legitimacy of cloned Pokémon depend on the original template of the Pokemon which the clones were generated from.
- Illegal:
- These refer to Pokémon that have never been released (e.g., HA Amaura), or are impossible to obtain, even theoretically (e.g. Weezing with Razor Leaf).
- Illegal Pokémon also include never-released events (e.g., Azure Flute Arceus).
Cause even when an edited pokemon can be considered "legit" u just throw it in the legal category
