Yeah since it can hit protect its OP. Protect is a staple in VGC most pokemon have it. I remember people weren't happy because it was DLC only Probably why they made it available in game for SV -

Competitive Chien-Pao In Less Than 60 Seconds
One thing I like about these new set of pokemon are the Chinese origin names. To be specific, 2 words/names separated by a dash. "Chien-Pao" Great video, couldn't think of one thing to suggest this time around lol :) -

I believe they just called it alternatively colored pokemon or shining pokemon like in the tcg. Looks like they started using it officially with Pokemon Black and White. -
