Discussion: Your Favorite Pokemon Game/Region?

Since the "Pokemon X and Y" discussion by @Charizard101 has been thrown off-topic by kopy and I, and since Dom says it's too vague of a topic, let's make a specific one! (yay!)

So, Perfect Pokemon community, what's your favorite region in the Pokemon land, and which game do you find the most exhilarating/nostalgic (maybe unless it's recent, y'know) to play?

I think that Pearl is my favorite game. I love it because I just loved Sinnoh and I still can't get enough of Palkia. However, I don't think Sinnoh was my favorite region, in fact I would say (with some of the band wagoners) that Hoenn is my favorite. I loved Hoenn's crazy expanse of water, I love Kyogre (The most epic Neptune Fish you will meet), even with the crazy Tentacools all over the place, I loved it.

This guy just straight up said Johto and no reason behind it. I'll agree with him as well. Johto! Whitney's Miltank was annoying as hell. Team Rocket played a bigger role, as well as your Rival ???. It was harder, longer, better. Post game was as existent as it will ever be.

Hoenn is my favorite, I love the music of the routes around the treetop city!

Now lets not go making assumptions, it was obviously YOUR FAULT WE ENDED UP TALKING ABOUT CHROMOSOMES. But back to the topic at hand. My favorite region was probobly Sinnoh, the best soundtrack, amazing eccentric pokemon, and a giant world to explore. I found myself treading Mt. Cornet looking for all the secrets I could Find. The music just nmade it feel like a meaningful adventure, all up to the point of the legendarys awakening, you felt like you were important in this world. AT that moment, during the fight, you feel like a badass, the music blaring the room, and your Empolean Aqua Jetting Dialga until he is low, then to capture him in a swift move with a great ball. Nostalgia floods in every time I play it, and I friggin love it

Whitney was hard? Bitch, Tate and Liza were sooo much harder. The random level spike, and Lunatone and Solrock would eat your deceased bodies for breakfast...

I really loved Sinnoh's soundtrack. I found it superior to Hoenn's for sure, and Mt. Coronet was just fantastic. I loved it. But not as much as Hoenn

Hoenn was great, it might have been my fave, but it just didn't seem that magical when I replayed it. oh well, maybe my opinion on Sinnoh is because of childhood memories.

Emerald is my favorite game because I started playing the games with Gen 3, but Sinnoh is my favorite region because I really like the mythology it established and thought that the region itself was great.

With all this fanbase hype about Hoenn remakes out there, it looks like they should get plop Sinnoh into our story again, or maybe not, since we can enjoy it from a nostalgic standpoint, which may or may not be better.

My favorite Pokemon game recently (before X &Y of course) was HeartGold & SoulSilver. So many features of that game were great, like: the cool Pokemon sprite that would follow you or the after game including Kanto. I also really like the Johto starters so my favorite region would have to be Johto.

My favorite had to be Unova, Black & White - it had some of the best towns and gym leaders of all the gens; had a great anti-antagonist (N) who wasn't another generic, mindlessly evil villain and had Bianca and Cheren who are my favorite companions/rivals or all time. Oh yeah, that and Reshiram and Zekrom are complete BADASS.

But yeah, Sinnoh was cool too - Cynthia is one hell of a Champion.
