Dusk balls work in Mirage spots?

I have a question. When I am trying to catch an Azelf in the Mirage Spot in a cave, will the Dusk Ball still has it's bonus effect? The area you see in the background during the battle itself is not a cave, therefore my question.

you can see the place from the background, if the background is not a cave then it wont work

I am pretty sure that it only matters whether it is at night or in a cave. I don't think being in a mirage spot impacts the catch rate of a pokemon. The only thing, I think, that matters is the external conditions

Are you sure? I caught my Cobalion on the 3rd try with a Dusk ball. (I did weaken him though)

Shouldn't it work? Since it works during night, that one should be a definite yes.

I think that it only works in caves and at night, not sure if it works at mirage spots.
