Bulky/annoying as heck team. So this team has a lot of switch-in help and status abusing as well as chip-away damage, recovery, and minor attacking moves, allowing for a win. It is just a regular OU team.
Meet the
Spy Team:
Alexxi<3 (Skarmory) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Defog
- Roost
- Whirlwind
Skarmory's roll is pretty straight forward. Since this team uses switches a lot, it's best to have a Pokemon to remove hazards to avoid chip damage. Having hazards off of my side of the field is #1 priority, having hazards on my opponent's side is just a bonus. It abuses Whirlwind+Roost with Rocky Helmet so that only Special Attacks can really do anything. It also loves luring Special Fire-Type attacks in so I can switch into Heatran for the Flash Fire boost. Special Electric/Water moves allow me to switch to Gastrodon.
Alexxi<3 (Chansey) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
- Aromatherapy
- Seismic Toss
Since statuses cripple my team, I need a pokemon that can cure everyone with one turn. Aromatherapy helps out a lot. Seismic Toss allows me to do damage while I can also abuse Toxic+Soft-Boiled stalling. It also helps take Special hits Skarmory can't stay in on and I can't switch Heatran in.
Alexxi<3 (Mandibuzz) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
Impish Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Taunt
- Knock Off
As much as I hate Mandibuzz, and I mean really hate, it is so amazingly bulky/annoying that I have to include it on this team. Knock Off removes items off of any pokemon that can threaten/wall/stall my team, Taunt allows Set-Up Pokemon to fall on their knees, and Foul Play just in case someone wants to try setting up their Attack to break through my defenses. It also absorbs most statuses such as Sleep Powder.
->
Alexxi<3 (Pinsir) (M) @ Pinsirite
Ability: Moxie
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Earthquake
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack
- Swords Dance
At first Wil-o-Wisp Gourgheist filled this slot to take Spores and of course burn/set up Leech Seed to allow even more health recovery for my team or force a switch, I needed a priority user and a strong, fast pokemon. I also didn't have a mega, which isn't necessary but it's nice to have.
Alexxi<3 (Heatran) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp
Heatran is my new WoW as I replaced it's Toxic-using abilities since I removed Gourgheist, whom I may bring back in. It is tanky and pretty strong, with Protect to allow stalling on a poisoned/burned Pokemon. Heatran has many resistances, and while it has some big weaknesses, any Ground moves are for Skarm/Vullaby to handle, and Water moves are Gastrodon's thing.
Alexxi<3 (Gastrodon) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 SDef
- Scald
- Recover
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
The extremely bulky Gastrodon that just absorbs hits all day every day. Helps me get a lot of safe switches and cripples the team while hurting things such as Fire types which semi-threaten my team as well as Dragons who are just flat out common powerhouses. Scald for burn chance and STAB, and all 3 moves give me good coverage while Lefties/Recover allow me to stay in the fight. My Heatran shows Grass types who threaten Gastrodon the XIT (exit pun, from yours truly, BapPunPancham)
So what do you guys think?
Credit too Alexxi for the main team.
