Greninja evs?

I am a little confused on the EVs for greninja. Gunkshot is an attack move but everything else thats useful to it is a sp attack move. Will 252 sp att 252 speed work or do I need evs on attack?

fast reply. Because of items im using on other mons I am forced to use focus sash ninja. Will it hurt me too much to not run 252 sp attack?

why not just use an orb?

orb is pretty useful like sash isn't terrible but it isn't the best choice............
could run banded for like late game sweep or vest but its pretty frail still
mebbe a plate but that's pretty specific to moves

Banded would be far too physical oriented, and IMO, it doesn't support Greninja that well
Vest, like you said, would give it extremely underwhelming power and it still wouldn't have a lot of bulk at all.

LO is the way to go generally - maybe try Expert Belt?

With the addition of Low Kick and Gunk Shot, more attack investment is needed Around 40 attack EVs gives the guaranteed 3HKO on 4HP / 252 Def Chansey with either Gunk Shot or Low Kick.

tbh im only using gunk shot for type change. For what I am using the greninja for gunk shot seems rather pointless.

Gunk Shot is an extremely important move on Greninja - it's what makes it near broken now. IMO you should definitely stick it on or you'll get completely walled by Chansey and the like.

You should defo run a water move, either Surf, Scald or Hydro - Hydro hits for the most and has decent enough accuracy (at least, in my experience).

Greninja has an extreme case of 4MSS, it's not even funny. Look at your team and see what you need to counter, then you'll know what you need to run.
