MELBOURNE MEWS
Welcome to the home of the Melbourne Mews, one of the 16 teams in the 2015 Perfect Battlers League.
Wins: 5 Losses: 0 Differential: +16
Venusaur was scooped up with the Melbourne Mews first pick in the PBL Draft, its great bulk, thick fat ability that removes 2 of its primary weaknesses whilst also having the ability to deal real damage. Venusaur was the centrepiece of this team and the teams mega.
Kills: 13 KO'd: 2
Kills: 13 KO'd: 2
Rotom Wash has excellent pairing with Venusaur, its a bulky mon with only one weakness and access to heaps of statuses as well as recovery with pain split.
KO's: 1 KO'd: 2
KO's: 1 KO'd: 2
Gengar was a nostalgic pick, rather than a specific one for team building. Great speed and special attack though mean it can perform a variety of roles and hit like a truck.
Kills: 0 KO'd: 3
Kills: 0 KO'd: 3
Jirachi was a great pick up with the 4th overall pick in the UU draft, a psychic resistance with base 100 stats all round. Access to Serene Grace giving STAB Iron Head 60% chance to flinch is beautiful. Whilst the scarf set is most common Jirachi can perform so many roles with a crazy move pool
Kills: 7 KO'd: 1
Kills: 7 KO'd: 1
Mandibuzz is a bulky as hell mon that can defog. With stab knock off and sucker punch and access to status inducing moves. Mandibuzz also pairs nicely with Venusaur, eliminating that psychic weakness, whilst Venusaur resists the Electric weakness and Ice weakness when mega'd.
Kills: 1 KO'd: 2
Kills: 1 KO'd: 2
With basically a free pick and not much to choose from, Milotic was a stand out.A bulky water mon with access to recovery, Milotic can deal with dragons really well as well as being a great wall.
Kills: 0 KO'd: 1
Kills: 0 KO'd: 1
Tyrantrum was the one of the better dragon types available still, with great attack and bulky defence. Strong Jaw and Rock Head are two great abilities.
KO's: KO'd: 1
KO's: KO'd: 1
IS THE BOMB.
Originally part of a trade that went wrong, Reuniclus is actually a really great mon' to have. Its abilities are great, especially magic guard and it can run plenty of different sets, including Calm Mind or Trick Room.
Kills: 1 KO'd: 0
Kills: 1 KO'd: 0
NU seemed like as good as time as any to draft a fire type, Pyroar is a speedy and hits hard with a good ability in Moxie allowing it to be a mixed attacker and deal nice amounts of damage on either the physical or special side.
No one wants to take a technician fake out to the face.
Kills: 3 KO'd: 1
Kills: 3 KO'd: 1
Steelix is a defensive beast, he can set up stealth rocks as well as that sweet sweet electric immunity.
Kills: 1 KO'd: 1
Kills: 1 KO'd: 1
