Perfect Pokemon's Battle Rating Introduction
It is time for a new era in Pokemon 3DS Wifi battling and match making. Perfect Pokemon has revolutionized the way you buy/sell/trade Pokemon with our credits system, and now, we are pushing to do the same with the way you find competitive battles. That is why, on Friday April 15th, 2016, we will be rolling out our new Battle Rating System.
There are three pillars to the new Battle Rating System, matchmaking, competitive skill ratings and teams. Let me break these main features down below.
Matchmaking
After updating your profile with you 3DS friend code(here), you will be able to partake in the matchmaking system. You can either enter the matchmaking queue yourself by clicking the 'Queue for Battle' button on the '/battle' page here. Or you can challenge someone who is already queued by clicking the 'Find a Battle' button, and then the challenge button next to their queue listing. You can also initiate direct matchmaking battles from the challenge button on a community member's profile or user-card.
Competitive Skill Ratings
As you win or lose battles, your rating for the tier of those battles will increase or decrease. The winning player of a battle takes rating from the losing player. The amount of rating the winner receives is based on the difference in rating between the winner and loser at the start of the match. Thus, winning a match against a player whose rating is close to or above your own in a particular tier, will result in far more rating gained than winning against someone with a lower rating.
To give your potential opponents a sense of your level of skill, your highest current rating is displayed on your profile and user-card. This rating is your BR (Battle Rating). As your battle rating grow, you will receive various community rewards, including access to an area of the community that normal members cannot see. More of these rewards will be revealed in coming weeks. At the end of a competitive season, members with the highest BRs will receive permanent rewards that are impossible to achieve any other way.
Teams
Your Perfect Pokemon Teams now also have a BR. Players from each team can challenge each other to reduce or increase their teams ' ratings. Team BRs are calculated by the average rating of the top 10 players in that team. The highest rated teams at the end of a season will receive community rewards. Some of which will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Competitive seasons are expected to last 3-4 months.
Season one starts 4/15/16 night at midnight EST.
