So long story short, the last Pokemon game I played was Red when I was a kid, I'm now in my thirties. Just bought Pokemon Y & Omega Ruby and a 3DS and I'm looking to get hold of a full team for playthrough, and maybe some extras.

A balanced team would be good, but I genuinely have no idea what's good and what's not, the game is so massively different from what it used to be, mega evolutions, items to hold, eggs, breeding... It's all new to me.

So what would you suggest?

Also, I'm after a Mew among other legendaries, is that something you could do?
