Time to gen a team for Sun and Moon
"You can only use Pokémon you've caught while playing Sun/Moon"

This would mean no genning? Just using your in-game team?

If ninty can't tell, how can you? :^)
If they are meant to be in-game teams, that would mean no perfect IVs and no EV trained Pokémon. And there is a damage calculator, you could tell based on damage. Which is why I'm asking if they are in-game teams or not.

Also, I'm participating :)

You seem to have forgotten that gen 7 features IV training.

You seem to have forgotten that gen 7 features IV training.
Not much is known about the feature, whether or not it is really easy or more difficult to IV train and get the IV training items. Won't really know until the official game is out. And that still only gives less than a week to finish the game for those getting it on the 18th, less than that for European countries, plus figure out IV training? That's very unlikely to happen.

IV training is fairly easy and requires no work on the user end.

Even so, it's less likely anyone will have a fully IV + EV trained Pokémon for this tournament. Esspessially those getting the game on the 23rd. It wouldn't be to difficult to tell.

First @AceBreeder-Brock, now @Matt_192... how do you feel @Krelbit? #ROASTED Lol

But no, he brought up a good point, the rule sounds like it Pokemon you caught throughout your journey, but it could also just be Alola region Pokemon. If it's the latter, genning wouldn't matter because people could purchase fully genned battle ready teams to participate with. Otherwise, genning would give an unfair advantage for those who cannot edit their Pokemon to be perfect.

The whole genning pokemon which isn't really accessible to get in the beginning to battle, was what I realized after I posted it. Then I just thought either doulie wanted to stimulate the buy/sell shops again so people have a reason to get them or the more likely the tourney was for using pokemon in the beginning of the game for fun (I believe that the iv training only work on pokes lvl 100 anyway in the game). I had asked @doulie to clarify, so hopefully what doesn't end up happening is that new players bring ungenned fresh of the game pokemon and others bring genned late game pokemon, and then those new players with story pokemon feeling cheated of (if the point of the tourney was for fresh story pokes that aren't properly ev trained or have perfect moves).

edit: Yeah am right pokes have to be lvl 100 to be iv trained in the games
"Hyper Training appears to be located in one part of the Alola region. Here, you can visit this shop and exchange Bottle Caps, a new item, in order to increase the IVs of your Pokémon. This can only be done if your Pokémon has reached Level 100." - serebii

No genning allowed for this tournament. I hope it doesn't come to it, but if you are suspected of genning/cheating, you will likely be banned from all winnings and future tournaments at the coordinator's digressions. We don't want to waste time trying to verify if your Pokemon was genned or not, so please... just don't do it.

You rarely get a chance to use the Pokemon you've caught in game. So lets enjoy the opportunity and have some fun.

I don't think making an "OU WiFi Tournament" within the first week of a games release isn't a good idea anyways considering most people won't be finished the game if they take their time... and some won't have mons at lvl. 50 yet.

Your Pokemon stats and levels are rounded up to level 50 with normal rules, no need to worry about levels. :)

Can I scan a QR code to be in in spirit? Also, would you guys like tiering council to give some quick standard banlists or do you want to just go with anything but box legendaries for now?
