Is it worth buying? I've never played the other MK games just MK v DC and Injustice but they were pretty fun

I hate fighting games but I really like this one. It makes great use of Unreal Engine. Graphics are great, the fighting is a bit technically and not as flowy as some games (but that's how most MK are).

Some of them. I owned all the SNES ones. More recent than that though would probably be the PS2 ones, as well as MK vs DC as you mentioned above. I don't remember much about the playstyles of those though to compare them (it's been a while)
