I believe it is, so you should start making a team. You'll obviously need mod confirmation before you make a thread though

The ground gym currently has a leader, but is apparently inactive. If you'd like the gym you can challenge them for leadership. If they don't reply to your challenge after 7 days then the gym automatically goes to you.

Whoops looks like someone deleted it, if you can have a mono ground gym WiFi team ready then the gym is yours.

There seems to be two of you interested in the fighting gym. And @AdamC might have closed it for specific reasons, not just giving up leadership.

Yeah its available nobody has one open yet. if you wish to be the grass gymleader, just make sure before you do that you have a mono grass gym team for wi-fi ready, and then you can go ahead and make your gym thread

How to apply:
- If you are applying to a leaderless gym, respond to this thread and you will be raised to leader of that gym
- If you are applying to a Gym that already has a leader, respond to that leader's gym thread and issue your challenge for leadership there.
Rules *Update*
- Gym leaders are allowed use of 1 uber Pokemon and 1 uber item in their team
- Gym leaders must follow the appropriate Monotype clause ( 6 Pokémon with the same type. Dual typing is allowed, but they must all share a common type)
- Challengers, including challenges to become gym leader, are not allowed the uber perk, and must adhere to our community banlist: here
- Both Gym leaders and challengers must adhere to the following:
Sleep Clause (you may not put two of your opponent's Pokémon to sleep)
Dupe Clause (no more than 1 of the same Pokemon per team)
Evasion Clause (may not use a move which has the sole effect of raising Evasion, namely Double Team and Minimize)
- Battles can take place on showdown only if BOTH PARTIES agree to it.
- Gym leaders cannot use showdown as their ONLY means of battling. Meaning you must have a wifi team ready in case a challenger doesn't use showdown
- Battle format One on One 6v6

Hey, the fighting gym is open for takes. Just tell me if you have or can have a suitable mono fighting team with 1 uber (if you want the uber). Then go ahead and make your fighting thread. Make sure to comment on the other thread for badge giving permissions.
edit: I had an IM discussion with him he can prepare a suitable Mono Fighting team for the gym. Added him as the fighting gymleader, congrats.

If you're doing a good job running one gym, you can usually run two if you think you can effectively keep them both active.
