Active Equality regarding Gym Battles

I have a suggestion/complaint. i come here with the utmost respect and i just want someone to hear me out. its regarding strawberries rock type gym. im not doing this with hatred, or any such thing. it is her gym and i respect that, however, i find it rather unfair to some of us who dont have the options to gen/ breed competitive pokemons with potential ease. these gyms arent meant to be easy, and i dont have the tools at hand to make a competitive team to hopefully find victory at strawberries rock type gym. her rule is that we can not challenge her on showdown, and thats acceptable, i suppose, but.. i dont know i just think there is issue regarding ease of use, equality whatever you may call it. i just want gym badges, ive tried 4 different gyms, they are by no means easy. so i dont understand why showdown would matter.

It used to be required that gyms use WiFi, then it became gym leaders choice to use wifi/showdown with the requirement being they had to be able to use WiFi and showdown *if* they wanted to.

I'm not saying you don't have a point, but we are on a buy/sell/trade website. It's not as though there aren't resources for you to make better teams.

Any gym that only accepts wifi challenges must work to actually obtain the pokemon. Whether they bought the resources to gen or breed them they want to use what they worked hard to get and they want others to be held to the same standard. Seems equal to me.

I feel the same way but I accept showdown bc its convenient and Im able to take more challenges not to get people out of obtaining pokemon themselves.

i see your point, i really do. its good for business, and thankfully there are other gyms which do utilize showdown so, we all win. i was just upset i guess >_> sorry if ive pushed anyones buttons, strawberries, in particular

Showdown is an option that the gym leaders can choose if they want to.
It's not required because not everyone users battle simulators.

The main point behind not allowing Showdown is that it means people can conjure up counter teams in a matter of minutes. By letting people breed/hack the Pokemon in, it shows that they are at least taking time and care in putting a team together which is why some leaders don't like using Showdown - it's a cheap way of giving people quick teams.

Even if you don't have the Option to breed or gen, you still have the option of trading or buying the pokemon you need, we also have other alternatives.
Yeah, these gyms aren't meant to be easy, but having the ability to use any pokemon you want using showdown makes it easier, by allowing you to bring pokemon that counter team.

And not to be rude but I think everyoone should have a OU team ingame anyways.

i should acknoweldge that its really not a problem, i mean im disappointed, not with strawberry or anyone, for any reason. but i mean i know i did kinda direct it toward you strawberries and for that i am sorry. i suppose dont the road ill be able to challenge your gym.

my suggestion is to become the flying type gym leader since the leader has two gyms and hardly ever accepts challenges and i wanna become the leader

I've stated the rule on double gyms a few times and how it's only allowed when no one wanted to take it (as they didn't) but my same verdict stands - wait the week.
